How long and how many times a week is a typical session?
A therapy session is a 50 minute "hour." This allows for proper preparation and documentation time before and after each session. Most clients are seen once or
twice a week in the initial stages of therapy. As a client progresses, the time between therapy sessions increases to every two weeks or once a month.
I encourage all clients to play an active role in determining how often they would like to meet.
How long will I be in counseling?
The length of time a client is in counseling depends on the nature of the
problem and the goals of counseling. Some clients have a very
specific problem that can be worked through in a set course of
counseling. For others, counseling is an on-going learning process and
they choose to maintain the therapeutic relationship for an extended period of time.
How much are your Fees and do you take insurance?
I am an in-network provider with several insurance plans. If I do not accept your insurance and would like to use out-of-network benefits, I am happy to provide all required documentation for you to submit to your personal insurance plan. I ask that you pay the cash rate at the time of service and once forms are submitted to your insurance company, reimbursement will be made directly to you. I accept cash, check and credit cards.

Mental Health Counselors in the state of FL are not legally authorized
to prescribe medications. Counselors may refer clients to meet with a psychiatrist to determine whether medication management would be of benefit. A psychiatrist is a medical doctor who specializes in the treatment of mental health.
